SEGA 3D Archives & amiibo Proving Popular in Japan on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

It has been revealed that Nintendo's amiibo has started to becoming hard to find in Japan, as well as around the world. According to pictures in the NeoGAF forum, the Zelda, Captain Falcon and Villager amiibo figures are sold out at some Japanese retailers, showing signs that they might soon become rare to find over there.

In the same post it is also shown that SEGA 3D Archives on Nintendo 3DS has sold out in the same store.

How is your personal amiibo hunt going? Any specific amiibo you want to get that you have been unable to find so far due to them being sold out?

I'm only getting the Zelda ones + Ike, but I still feel pretty cheated by the prize of €15. We need more games that support them. And I want something serious, not just stupid costumes. Can't they make a game like Skylanders, with Nintendo characters? Call it Nintendo Land 2 for my part, just give us something to use our Amiibo's in. SSB4 is pretty boring.

I have all the ones that have come out so far and have all the others reserved. Except for target's exclusive "Rosalina and Chico" which sadly sold out so fast I have to be there when the doors open. Thankfully I have that day off. The RACE IS ON!!!
Oh and to Canyarion I admit SSB4 is boring when played alone, but I only play once every week or two with a group of friends which seems to never get boring. Of course thats just me :/

Oh the game itself is pretty good, but the Amiibo usuage is pretty boring.
