Nintendo Crack Down on Piracy
1.5 million fake products seized...


Seven works from the Yudian Company, based in Taiwan, have been found guilty of a massive counterfeiting operation of Nintendo products. In a trial held earlier this week Yudian was found to be producing Game Boy games following a massive raid by the Investigation Bureau of the Taiwanese Ministry of Justice in May 2001.

More than 1.5 million counterfit Nintendo products were seized in the raid, which were tagged for shipping all over the world. This is one of the largest ever counterfeiting cases Nintendo
