Dolphin Gets GameCube Adapter Support on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Dolphin emulator now supports the Nintendo GameCube USB adapter, the developers have confirmed.

The device, which allows four GameCube controllers to be hooked up to the Wii U, doesn't work with computers by default. However, programmers shuffle2 and toadking were able to reverse engineer the device and create support for the device.

The Dolphin emulator will now auto-detect the adapter when plugged in, allowing players to get solid 1:1 joystick input and fully functional shoulder triggers.

I'll definitely use this, it was one of the reasons I wanted to grab a hold of it (which apparently is hard enough if you didn't reserve a copy).

What I don't really understand yet is if you can also play Wii games with this, like you can use a 360 controller if you tweak some settings.
