Could There be a Mario Warriors Game in the Future?

Would other Nintendo franchises get cross-over treatment with Dynasty Warriors?

Hyrule Warriors is the latest Legend of Zelda spin-off game, taking place in an alternative dimension and bringing a hefty dollop of sword-slashing action to Wii U. The game, developed by Koei Tecmo, is a cross-over with Dynasty Warriors, blending the faces of Zelda with the gameplay structure of the Warriors series.

With that in mind, Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma was asked whether other Nintendo franchises could get Warriors games as well, with "characters like Mario, Samus and Kirby?"

Aonuma felt that "the Zelda intellectual property also happens to be a very good fit with Dynasty Warriors." Some Nintendo IPs "may work out and others may not."

He didn't rule it out, however, suggesting how if "Koei Tecmo wants to propose another game idea using other Nintendo franchises, we may consider it but I can't speak for other franchises because I'm usually involved with the Zelda games."

Could Dynasty Warriors work with other Nintendo IPs?
