Xenoblade Chronicles X Gets New Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest trailer of Xenoblade Chronicles X from today's Nintendo Direct shows off the vast world.

The sequel to the popular Wii game is a seamless open world RPG, and this video grants a look at the sheer scale of the beautiful landscapes.

A small bit of story background is given, where humans from Earth crash landed on the unknown planet after being attacked. The crew starts a new life on the planet, featuring all manner of weird creatures.

Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U is slated for release in Europe and North America during 2015, and has been given a date of 29th April in Japan.

Does anyone else think that the characters run kind of funny? Gorgeous back drops though! Looks better than Zelda U at the moment!

I think Zeldas got a more consistent style, but where this beats it is the shear imagination of those landscapes. They are just incredible.

Yeah, I can almost ignore the awful character faces after seeing the landscapes here. Beautiful stuff.

They've done an amazing job to create a world that looks gigantic! Even the enemies tower over you. Really looks amazing visually and in scale, though I hope the combat system is different to Xenoblades, I really didn't like it.
