Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Releases February 13th with Special Edition New 3DS XL on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In the Nintendo Direct today the release date of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was revealed.

The game will be released February 13th and will launch with a Special Edition New 3DS XL system that will release the same day.

Demo codes are also being sent out to select Club Nintendo members, with an additional three codes for users to pass along to their friends.

Well, I'm fucked. I wanted to finish Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (60 hours in) and get some remaining things in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate before moving on to Generation 4 and then Capcom just decides to drop it on us with just a month of heads-up. Not even bloody Nintendo does this!!! I'm definitely not pleased with how they handled this, if I knew it was going to release in February I would have started with my plans earlier. I presumed "Early 2015" meant March or April, the months the last two western instalments were released in. Smilie

The fact that the demo has online play is just Capcom rubbing salt into my wounds...

Even I got codes and Nintendo never sent me emails about the Smash demo, Tomodachi Life demo or the ambassador New 3DS (and they distributed that one on three different occasions!)

Not like I'm bothered about the ambassador New 3DS though, I always wanted an MM3D XL and my prayers have been answered. Smilie

I actually don't understand why Nintendo spurn me! My club Nintendo account is bustling with their sodding games and I get nothing! Lucky for the kind C3ers out there!

Tell me about it! I was shocked when I got the email for this promotion, but they probably saw how many hours I've played of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and thought they'd be nice to me for once. Smilie

Not necessarily complaining, but these "let's draw a few CN members out of a hat include them in this promotion" isn't exactly fair, especially when the RNG involves many people in all of the promotions and many people in none of them.

I'll give you one if you want with no counterpart needed, I have one leftover and no one else to give it to, but it's a european code though so PM me to request it if you are in the PAL region.
