Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D has Revised Boss Battles

Zelda: Majora

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D will feature revised boss battles, according to recent hands-on reports with the game.

During PAX South last week, players had the opportunity to sample the 3DS remake, including heated moments in the boss pit. One of the changes seems to be differences in the boss patterns - with the likes of Odolwa and Gyorg requiring different sequences to extract a well earned heart piece from their guts.

Odolwa seems to have a large eye, like Queen Gohma from Ocarina of Time, that's exposed whilst he's knocked down, plus the lack of fire and moth attacks.

As for Gyorg, it swims along the surface of the water for the duration of the fight this time round, with the central platform suberged to see Link transforming into his Zoraform to take on the fish down below.

Gotta say this is for the better, so that newcomers get the best experience possible cause in the original, the Odolwa battle was always confusing (I think I never really got how it was supposed to be defeated, and just mashed buttons after immobilizing it with bomb flowers. As for Gyorg it was just a plain hard and needlessly long battle. Never had any issue with the other two big bosses, so if they chose to change only those two, then it must mean for sure that I wasn't the only one to think that there was something wrong with them originally Smilie.

Excellent stuff! All these changes are great for people who couldn't get into it originally and also newcomers.
