Super Mario Sunshine Being Ported to Nintendo DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The fan dedication holds no bounds as F.L.U.D.D. has surfaced in Super Mario 64 DS.

The worlds of Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario 64 are fairly different, with the latter introducing a nifty water jetpack known as F.L.U.D.D. Now one fan has decided to bring both together, by working on a hack for Super Mario 64 DS that introduces new water-based mechanics.

A new video of the project in motion uses the classic Nintendo 64/DS visuals as a base, adding new hover, rocket and turbo mechanics for an even greater range of moves for the porky platforming hero. The project also aims to include ports of levels from Super Mario Sunshine, with simplified models and eventually the inclusion of stars.

More details on Super Mario Sunshine DS.

They should do a real remake or even just a remaster. I love Sunshine!

I own all the consoles, ask me anything

Sunshine HD on WiiU. Give it similar treatment to Wind Waker please Nintendo! :'(

I'd rather have Galaxy and Galaxy 2 HD double pack.

I would pay £60 for a Sunshine / Galaxy / Galaxy 2 HD remake. YES, Nintendo.

I need to play it properly - I've only played a few levels, including the final boss lol.

I always thought Sunshine was given a hard time, I spent a lot of time with this back in the day. The graphics still hold up today, sure it's not in HD but we can't expect Nintendo to remaster everything!

True. If they did we'd likely never see new first party games. XD

grass and water effects look weak, but wow... this looks slightly impressive.

@curtiscdragon - don't use a guide, it's a fairly easy game try and do it without one and seek help as and when you need it
