Fire Emblem Concert Announced for Japan on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo's popular tactical RPG series, Fire Emblem, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a concert in Japan.

Fire Emblem has seen, at time of writing, fourteen games across multiple generations - from the very first outing on the Famicom (NES), to the most recent installments on Wii and Nintendo 3DS.

The first game was originally released on the Famicom on 20th April 1990, known as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, being one of the earliest attempts at turn-based strategy on home consoles, borrowing elements from classic RPGs. It was also the first appearance from fan favourite and Super Smash Bros. veteran, Marth.

The concert will be held as part of two day event on 27th - 28th July at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan.

Here's a familiar jingle to tug at the 8-bit heart strings:

I've actually sat down and listened to Fire Emblem playlists on YouTube and the tunes are amazing. I particularly liked the GBA soundtracks but Awakening had some truly fantastic music!
