Unity 5 Announced, Will Support Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

During the Game Developers Conference today, Unity 5 was announced and made available globally.

Unity Technologies touted the upraded tech to an audience at GDC, highlighting "an expanded editor feature set" and graphical improvements, including "real-time global illumination." Those who need a little bit extra juice can also take advantage of the "Unity Cloud Build," which will allow developers to use cloud computing within their projects.

Among the numerous platforms confirmed for Unity 5, Nintendo Wii U was included in the mix.

Nice to hear that Unity will continue to support Wii U.

Unity is what Nintendo has been supporting and encouraging indie game developers to use for their games.

Nintendo even pays for the Unity License for all licensed Nintendo developers.
