Xenoblade Chronicles X Battle Details on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest video presentation for Xenoblade Chronicles X took at look at how battles come together in the game.

The game uses a combination of simple attacks and more advanced combinations known as "arts." These particular moves are grouped into "fighting", "shooting", "support" and "weakening arts". Each of these are limited, however, so players need to wait some time before using the same art again, keeping some balance for those who may constantly overuse moves. When waiting for this "recast meter"to fill up a second time, it will improve the boost arts strength.

Other features include combos to increase damage by 1.5 times, shooting from above or below to improve accuracy and using "Overclock Gear" to reduce the time to use arts.

As for weapons - they come in two different styles: melee and shooting, with armour covering helmets, body armour, arms and legs. As players use up these items, there will be a supplying company will develop new equipment.

Enemies will show their level and various different details, with enemies with a circle eye icon suggesting they hunt in packs.

The next presentation will be about the Dolls/mechs in the game.
