Rumour: Splatoon amiibo Figures Spotted

Rumour: Retailer listings have suggested that Nintendo might be releasing amiibo figures to complement Wii U shooter Splatoon.

The action is certainly heating up with the much-touted release of Nintendo's ambitious, colourful new shooter for Wii U. The game has already received a fair bit of positive press since its public debut last year, and it seems Nintendo may well be giving the title that bit more with amiibo figures - if rumours prove to be true.

Raru, a retailer in South Africa, posted listings for two amiibo Squid figures - boy and girl, plus a bundle that includes the game and a single figure.

Nintendo have yet to, at time of writing, announce amiibo figures for Splatoon.
