If F-Zero Were Released on the Genesis/Mega Drive on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

What would happen if F-Zero were ever made using SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive technology?

Nintendo's popular, futuristic racer certainly turned heads when originally released for the SNES, introducing a 3D esque effect called Mode 7. The visual technology allowed developers to rotate/scale background graphics to give the impression that karts in Super Mario Kart and craft in F-Zero were turning corners, all fancy like.

Naturally, such tech wouldn't have been possible on a Genesis/Mega Drive console without some work, but one fan has done just that.

Would you play through F-Zero if released for Genesis/Mega Drive emulation?

I guess there's some merit to making mode 7 style graphics on a console that isn't natively capable of doing so. But admittedly it looks worse than on the SNES... Would prefer to see how it would stack up on the Mega CD though, which DID allow for mode 7.
