How amiibo Works in Captain Toad on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ever wondered what happens when players plonk a Toad amiibo into Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker?

In a short video sequence posted on the official Nintendo of Japan YouTube channel, the company outlined just what the figure would activate in the Wii U game. Players can use the Toad (or Kinopio as he's known in Japan) amiibo figure to conjure up hidden, pixellated characters that are tucked away in levels. The aim? Find them all.

Got my Toad amiibo pre-ordered. Really like Toad's use in this game. It's going to add a nice bit of replayability.

Its not a big thing but captain toad is a sweet chill out game which id be happy to come back to, maybe eventually i'll win that final level.
