Smash Bros. Tournaments: Japan vs USA on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Countries collide as Nintendo will be holding a World Grand Prix for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U next month.

As part of the NicoNico Chokaigi event, there'll be various Super Smash Bros. tournaments - with selected professionals from North America facing folk in Japan. Some of these fighting enthusiasts include - Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman, Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios, Freddie "FOW" Williams, and Averil "MJG" Morrisette II".

The singles round takes place on 25th April, with a team battle kicking off on 26th April. Winners for these events will also receive New Nintendo 3DS consoles with a very rare faceplate for their efforts.

NicoNico Chokaigi will also play host to stage shows for Pokkén Tournament, The Great Ace Attorney and Mario Maker.
