Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition Shows Off New Footage on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The Puzzle & Dragons series is super popular in Japan and we will soon by able to join in the obsession with Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition hitting very soon.

In advance of the release Nintendo have released some new footage. The footage shows those new to the franchise how the game is played, developing a party of Nintendo characters and matching tiles to do damage, leader skills and the rest of the series mainstays. There is also the new news and features of having assist characters in your team from meeting Friends via ad-hoc or street pass and saving them in the "Friend Recorder."

The video shows a bunch of very different worlds to explore and complete, with unique enemies in each that when beaten have a chance to be added to the team, gathering up many different characters and developing different teams is the key to advancing, making use of strong players and different combinations depending on the enemies. Just like in other games these captured characters can be used in a party or "fed" to other characters to level them up, character skills can also be increased by using special items.

The game also brings with it a ton of mini games, skill challenges, boss battles, random lottery games and lots more, it will be dropping April 29th in Japan, then May 8th in the EU and finally May 22nd in the US.

We here at Cubed3 are very excited for this game! Are you? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
