RegionFOUR Allows Cross-Region 3DS Play on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Coder Smealum has released a new free loader for Nintendo 3DS consoles that once again enables cross-region support.

Available for past 3DS systems (including 2DS), and more recent hardware like the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL, the software allows players to run a selection of titles purchased from other regions on the console. Not all games are supported at time of writing, however, like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for example.

Known as RegionFOUR, the update allows 3DS owners to bypass the mandatory game card firmware updates, but does require the notorious copy of Cubic Ninja in order to work.

For more details be sure to visit the regionFOUR page on GitHub.

Have you given regionFOUR a go yet? Which imported games would you run on your Nintendo 3DS?
