Rhythm antics will be heading to the 3DS this September with the launch of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX.

The game, which will also get a special-edition for fans, will now be available to tap into from 8th September in North America and 11th September in Europe, SEGA confirmed today.

There'll be a physical/special launch edition across North America, which includes a copy of the game, premium packaging, a wallet chain, plus double sided Augmented Reality cards.

Featuring Miku and all her dancing buddies in Nendoroid figure style, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX features 48 full-length songs, with multiple difficulty levels. As well as the rhythm section, the game also includes a virtual apartment for the Miku character, which players kit out with an array of different collectable items.

Those wanting to take the musical action even further will be able to pen new routines in the Dance Studio and even compose musical pieces in the "My Tune" mode.
