Valhalla's Wii U action game, Devil's Third, will release in Japan on August 4th, and in Europe on August 28th.

Headed up by Tomonobu Itagaki (Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden), Devil's Third sees players take the role of mercenary Ivan, attempting to take down a terrorist group he was once part of, hacking and shooting his enemies in gruesome fashion.

The multiplayer depicts a future in which the terrorists have won, and players take control of citizens that join clans to help reclaim the US, forming allegiances with other factions, customising their bases and improving their defenses. Alternatively, the option is there to go it alone and assault other players' bases.

Check out a new 10-minute video (Japanese only), screenshots, and the game's Japanese box art below.

Looks like an okay game, seems to be improved since the E3 build last year. Not really interested in getting it, personally.

The multiplayer looks like the most fun part.
