Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Lacks Motion Controls on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In an E3 report for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, it was confirmed that the game lacks motion controls.

Ever since Nintendo launched the Wii console, nearly nine years ago, the company have been keen to weave motion control technology in a variety of games - particularly sports titles. However, the company's latest crack at tennis in the living room appears to lack the ability to frantically swing a wii remote as if mimicking Roger Federer in a Bowser outfit.

Wii Remote support is available, but according to E3 hands-on reports, only in a more analogue sense - D pads and buttons ahoy.

Should Nintendo incorporate motion support into Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash?

Thank god for that.

i like that they are not emphasising it but it should be an option.

That's unfortunate
