Fire Emblem Fates recently launched in Japan, and so many of the game's features and plot points have been shared online.
Some of these features have since been criticised for their rather adult nature. For instance, when buying apparel from the game's Accessory Shop, the player is able to strip the on-screen characters down to their underwear and then rotate and zoom the camera in order to get a closer look.
Another feature of the game allows the player to stroke and pet their support characters using the touch screen in a similar fashion to Pokémon X and Y's "Pokémon Amie" function. If the main character achieves a high enough ranking relationship with the support character, suggestive dialogue will take place during this section of the game such as "The way you're using your hand feels so good. Very skillful."
The feature has also come under fire for allowing this suggestive dialogue to take place between the main character and their siblings, although it has been noted by fans of the game that the characters are not related by blood.
It is currently unknown whether these exchanges or the Accessory Shop's camera function will be retained in the Western release of Fire Emblem Fates. The game's predecessor, 2013's Fire Emblem Awakening, contained a downloadable story in which one character's revealing pose was censored slightly for the North American release of the game. A line of dialogue referring to the same character's "boingy bits" was also changed for the European release.
Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright will be released in Q1 2016.
