No amiibo support for Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

New Nintendo 3DS game The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes won't feature amiibo support.

The game's director Hiromas Shikata, speaking to IGN during E3, confirmed that the title won't support amiibo as "it's really something as simple as this game isn't a natural fit for it."

Because there's an emphasis on costumes in the game, Shikata felt that the figures wouldn't add "anything other than what games with it are already doing" and how there is "no reason to shoehorn it in."

Shikata also discussed why players can't be women in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

Do you think amiibo should be included in the new Zelda release?
