Charizard, Weavile Join Pokkén Tournament on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A new stream for arcade brawler Pokkén Tournament has introduced two new characters: Charizard and Weavile.

The fan-favourite, fire-breathing chap returns to the competitive fighting scene after stomping on Nintendo-folk in Super Smash Bros. Charizard uses a medley of fire and flying moves, plus can transform into the freakishly strong Mega Charizard X, too.

Weavile, who has also had a stint as an assist character in Super Smash Bros. deals nippy damage with a range of slashes and agile sweeps.

The pair join an expanding roster with the likes of Lucario, Machamp, Blaziken, Suicune, Gardevoir, Gengar and, of course, Pikachu.

The game will be heading to arcades across Japan from July 16, 2015.

What do you think of the inclusion of Charizard and Weavile in the game?
