New Nintendo patent applications have surfaced that appear to be related to the Quality of Life platform.

One of the areas that Nintendo are moving into in the long-term is bringing a rich suite of applications and hardware that are aimed at improving aspects of life for users.

The device, with spans various patents, seems to be related to sleep - something that Nintendo had talked about in the past, where a small device would "detects sensor information for assessing a user's emotions" by using, perhaps, a microphone or camera. The system would detect and measure information while the "portable terminal is in a standby state."

Oddly, the second patent appears to be a "projector" that displays "an image on a ceiling by projecting the image upward."

The final patent that was filed last year involves a "terminal system acquires physiological information from a user and transmits transmission information to a server system, said transmission information including the physiological information and/or health information relating to the health or the body of the user."
