Final Fantasy Explorers Coming West in January 2016 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A new type of Final Fantasy experience will be heading west early next year.

Final Fantasy Explorers will release for Nintendo 3DS on January 26th in North America and January 29th in Europe, following its December 18th release in Japan last year.

In a world where crystals are the source of power of the lands, explorers team up to search for the Grand Crystal, in the hopes of recovering this coveted energy source, fending off monsters and eidolons on a crystal-rich island.

Utilising over 20 new and old jobs - such as White Mage, Knight and Monk - players can team up with up to three friends, battling together online to take down the world's most powerful foes, and recruiting them for their own party. Familiar bosses include Shiva, Ifrit and Bahamut, amongst others. Famous Final Fantasy icons can also be transformed into with the Trance ability to wield their powers, including the likes of Lightning, Cloud Strife and Squall Leonhart.
