Zelda Meets Unreal Engine 4 in Ocarina of Time Fan Mock-Up on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

More Nintendo scenes rendered in Unreal Engine 4 have emerged, this time taking on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Nintendo fans have been using the technology to create striking mock-up sequences of what popular franchises like Super Mario and Pokémon could look like if running in Unreal Engine 4.

The latest contender for a visual sprucing up is the Nintendo 64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Whilst not quite the world of Hyrule, the sequence created by CryZENx depicts a field with the Deku Tree and towering moon from Majora's Mask floating above.

What do you think of the mock-up, could Zelda work iin this visual style?

This makes more sense than Mario or Sonic but unfortunately it's still pretty ugly. I'd love to see what Nintendo could do with the engine.

I own all the consoles, ask me anything

ugh- i hate the way unreal looks.

Unreal should be called "everyone wants it to look hyper-real".  It's an engine.  There are lots of engines.  Just using a certain engine doesn't make your game better.

that link walks like he needs a number 2
