Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata is keen to work on Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series one day.
Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation, Tabata was asked about whether, one day, what title he would enjoy working on as part of a different studio. With the "know-how of Final Fantasy XV," he would be keen to develop a title in Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series, working with Nintendo. "I'm not quite sure why," he admitted though.
Nintendo has worked with third parties before, with Grezzo handling porting duties for Majora's Mask 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D, as well as helping out with Tri Force Heroes. Capcom worked on The Minish Cap back in 2003/2004 for the Game Boy Advance, so collaboration with other studios and external staff could well be a possibility in the future.
Do you think Nintendo should join forces with another studio for a future Zelda project?
