As we come to the end of the year, it's worth looking at the top games of 2015 - Japanese devs love Splatoon!
Nintendo's fresh third-person shooter has made waves (of ink) with fans and critics alike, rejuvenating the Wii U multiplayer scene with a growing community of players. The game has hit a positive note amongst Japanese studios, too, with the game topping a survey from Japanese site, 4Gamer.
133 developers, voice-actors and pro gamers were asked what their favourite title of 2015 was - including staff from Bandai Namco, Capcom, Square Enix and Koei Tecmo. Splatoon topped the list with 24 votes, followed by Super Mario Maker and Bloodborne in joint second place.
