Twilight Princess HD Story Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has shared a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, recapping the opening events that put the story of the game into motion.

Witness the hero Link's everyday normal life flipped upside down, as his childhood friend Ilia is kidnapped and he gets snatched into the Twilight Realm, transforming into a wolf in the process. With the help of the mysterious imp, Midna, he is set free, and the pair works together to save more than just Ilia, as the whole land of Hyrule is on the brink of being conquered by evil forces.

I cannot get over Ilia's duck face. I laugh every time I see it.

I really enjoyed the opening story moments, and the build up with the NPCs in the town - but it sort of lost track towards the middle/end, really, when they faded into the background. I guess Midna does become front and centre, though, but still felt it needed a bit more fleshing out and one thing I definitely think Zelda needs!

Agreed. TP's biggest problem imo was that it tried too much to be Ocarina of Time. After all the pressure of a realistic Zelda after everyone cried when they saw WW, I think they placed too much focus on trying to be OoT2. It was still very much its own thing, but it felt so bland in many places, feeling empty in more ways than one outside of the dungeons. It did create some of my fave newer items tho - dbl clawshots, spinner, ball 'n' chain.

For me its one of my least favourite zeldas. It was over hyped, too easy and felt empty. There are some great stand out moments like canoeing down the river, the clawshot and spinner. But those moments didn't offset the blandness of the twilight realm and the retread that was the story
