Unlock Items in Pokkén Tournament with amiibo

Those amiibo sitting proud on your shelf are compatible with upcoming Wii U fighter, Pokkén Tournament.

The Wii U version of the Pokémon fighting game will have its own set of amiibo content, including a Shadow Mewtwo amibio card as a part of the first edition print of the game (retail), but will also be compatible with existing amiibo accessories.

By tapping your figures onto the Wii U GamePad, it will unlock various in-game items to use. It's not certain what items in particular, but presumably it'll be from a random pool of accessories.
