Metroid Prime: Federation Force Gets UK Release Date on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has announced a 2 September EU release for the 3DS Metroid multiplayer spinoff Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

Featuring chibi visuals and focussing on online gameplay, Metroid Prime: Federation Force pits teams of four against space pirates.

Next Level Games, the team behind Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, are developing the title and are also offering a competitive 3v3 Blast Ball game mode alongside the main game.

Federation Force received a negative reaction from Metroid fans who were upset with the artistic direction of the game as well as series stalwart Samus Aran not being the main character.

I think this should be fun! Gameplay looks great.

I don't think fans were too bothered about the lack of Samus. Hell after other m, i think most fans wanted a little less samus. It was mainly the awful artstyle. Pitching a squad based shooter would be fine. Its because it looks so detached from the metroid series in terms of tone thats caused the issue.
