A new Mario Party game is coming to 3DS in the form of Star Rush.
Showcased for the first time at Nintendo's Treehouse live segment at E3, Mario Party: Star Rush flips the standard Mario Party formula by having all four players take their turns at the same time, significantly speeding up the usually slow-paced gameplay.
The gameplay mode shown off during the live segment, entitled Toad Scramble, has all four players take control of a differently-coloured Toad and moving around a non-traditional grid-based board to collect stars, fight bosses such as Mega Goomba, Kamek and even Bowser himself, as well as recruiting allies from the Mario series to aid them with extra Dice Blocks or special abilities.
The game will also be compatible with all of the Mario series of amiibo, including the recently announced second wave featuring Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Rosalina and a glow-in-the dark Boo figurine.
Mario Party: Star Rush arrives in Europe on 7th October and America on 4th November and will support local and download play, but not online functionality.
