The Godfather & Batman...
...GameCube Delight from EA!

News has just filtered in regarding the development of two new games over at Electronic Arts. The first game is to be based around the legendary film franchise, The Godfather.

The game is to be published by EA for EA Games and actually features voice-work from the late Marlon Brando, showing that the title has been in development for quite some time. In terms of gameplay, the oft-copied Grand Theft Auto will prove to be the main influence on general play, although EA has stated that rather than being run-of-the-mill, The Godfather will be completely revolutionary.

The Godfather is assumed to be rated 'M' for Mature and will release towards the end of 2004 across all major consoles, GameCube included.

Up next is the game of the highly anticipated, all-star cast-fuelled, Batman Begins. Once again confirmed for all consoles, this is also published by EA for EA Games and follows the movie's plotline as closely as possible. In this action/adventure title, players will find that the emphasis on gameplay lies in the field of Metal Gear Solid, in other words espionage and stealth missions!

Both of these games are sure to be major hits for the largest Third Party in the world and with the current increase in quality being produced from them, we certainly cannot wait to see the results of the long development process.

Keep it tuned to C3 for further details...

Many thanks to GCA for the heads-up!
