Choose Your Side: It's Team Callie vs. Team Marie in the Final Splatfest

The final Splatoon Splatfest is coming...and it brings forth an epic showdown: Team Callie vs. Team Marie!

The famous pop idol Squid Sisters are facing off and the world will decide who will reign supreme. The final Splatfest will occur worldwide from July 22 to July 24.

Held fifteen previous times since release, Splatfests are special events hosted periodically in Splatoon that challenge players to choose a side and then battle for glory in Turf Wars. Participants can earn Super Sea Snails that can be used to power-up gear.

This time Splatfest mania isn't just limited to Splatoon, however. As part of the celebration, Nintendo is releasing special limited-edition Splatoon content in Miitomo as well as a special Callie and Marie Super Mario Maker event course. July will also see the release of the previously announced Callie and Marie amiibo.

Miitomo
Team Callie and Team Marie Splatfest tees - the same worn in-game by players during the Splatfest - will be available in the Miitomo Shop until July 25. Two Squid Sisters Squid pins will also be available in he Miitomo shop from July 24 until July 31. However, the pin representing the winning team will be released for free to all users.

Additionally, Miitomo will see the return of the previously released Splatoon promotional items that were introduced during a Splatoon cross promotion in May. These items include Inkling wigs, shirts, shorts, and shoes that can be won in Miitomo drop; Ink tanks that can be redeemed via My Nintendo for 150 Platinum Points each; and Squid pins that can be purchased with Miitomo coins in the Miitomo shop. These promotional items will all be available until July 14.

Super Mario Maker
The famous Squid Sisters will also be making their debut in Super Mario Maker. Starting on July 8 players players can attempt the new squid-filled event course to earn costumes of Callie and Marie. Complete the course twice to earn both costumes.

amiibo
This month will also see the release of the previously announced Callie and Marie amiibo. Scanning the pop idols into the game will unlock special in-game performances.

Recolored variations of the three previously released Splatoon amiibo will also be available.

It's a big month for the Squid Sisters, but it's time to decide: Are you Team Callie or Team Marie?
