Renegade Kid Splits to Form Two New Companies on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Renegade Kid, the award-winning developer behind hits such as Mutant Mudds and Treasurenauts has called it quits after a decade with the co-founders pursuing new projects.

A statement released on the company website read:

"With their friendship and respect for each other still very much intact, Watsham and Hargrove will continue developing videogames under the names of their new companies: Atooi and Infitizmo".

Along with the amicable parting of ways, the intellectual property has equally been split between the two companies; Atooi keeping hold of 2D titles such as Mutant Mudds and Xeodrifter while Infitizmo will take control of the 3D franchises including Dementium and Moon Chronicles.

Jools Watsham and Atooi seem to be forging a future producing retro-styled games, while Gregg Hargrove and Infitizmo describe themselves as blending "interactive gaming, music, and web-based storytelling to create a fun and multifaceted entertainment experience".
