NIS America to Bring Two 3DS Titles to the West on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

NIS America has announced that it will be bringing two Japan-exclusive 3DS titles to North America and Europe.

RPG Maker Fes is the latest instalment of a franchise that has now been running for over two decades - it does what it says on the tin, giving players all of the tools necessary to create their own fully functioning RPGs using either their own or premade assets. Previous RPG Maker exports include cult hits like Corpse Party and To the Moon, so it'll be exciting to see what designers can make with the tools on offer here; they'll be available for everyone to play, too, thanks to the free RPG Maker Player app, releasing concurrently on the 3DS eShop.

Meanwhile, Culdcept Revolt is the newest edition of a series that's part trading card game, part board game, and part strategy. Nintendo of Japan paid particular attention to this game on its original release, even dedicating a miniature Nintendo Direct to exploring its nooks and crannies, and with over four hundred cards to collect and a wealth of features to aid newcomers, this looks like the perfect jumping-on point for those unfamiliar with the series.

Both RPG Maker Fes and Culdcept Revolt will launch on Nintendo 3DS in retail and download forms in summer this year. Stay tuned to Cubed3 for more details, including specific release dates, and check out the release trailers below:

Oooh. Super excited to hear about Culdcept. I was hoping that'd get localized.

I dabbled a little bit in RPG Maker myself in the past, with some mates from the website I used to write for before Cubed3. We never completed the project (and I don't have the project files at all anymore, unless I can find them on some old backup DVD from years back) but it was fun to tinker with.

We had even made a trailer :
