Nintendo ARMS its Way to No.1 in the UK on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo's ARMS has claimed the No.1 spot in the UK in Chart-Track's Top 40 listings for the week, if you go off the Top 40 Individual Formats chart, ordered by overall value rather than units. On the units, front, Horizon: Zero Dawn pipped it to the post because of continued heavy discounts, but Nintendo made the most actual money over the past weekend.

As can be seen from the below, ARMS claimed No.1, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is at No.8, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild still sits in the Top 20 at No.15, and that's all she wrote on the Nintendo Switch front, with a solitary 3DS title, Pokémon Sun, languishing down at No.37

That's very impressive. That's also, potentially, a lot of sore shoulders. Smilie

Great to see such a strong start here for a new Nintendo IP! Sitting on top of a lot of very strong titles. I too bought Zero Dawn last week. Had to check it out sometime, but couldn't possibly have played it alongside Zelda Breath of the Wild since I can't do more than one open-world game at a time.

WipeOut being at number 5 should give Nintendo an indicator that people still want a futuristic racer....

I think the trouble with f-zero is its not a particularly popular game and there doesn't seem to be anyone inside nintendo really pushing to make a new one. Last i heard they tried outsourcing it to the burnout devs but they were too busy. I figured the mario kart devs would take a swing at it. But they've just made arms so it seems more unlikely than ever
