INSiGHT: NEO Magazine: Issue 183 (Review)

Finishing 2018 in style is Issue 183 of NEO Magazine. For this month, there is an extensive array of over 50 anime shows poised to rock 2019 in the issue's main feature, including Persona 5, which follows in the stead of its forebears in adapting the popular game series into animation, the new Dragon Ball Super movie that brings popular character Broly to main series continuity, and the cover story Armed Girls Machiavelism, an action comedy that puts an expelled male student into a weaponised all-girls school. Following hot on the heels of the 2019 Anime previews come the same for the cinematic equivalents. Alita: Battle Angel takes the sci-fi manga classic into live action territory for Westerners, and the more local swordplay of Zu Warriors and samurai action within Top Knot Detective are expanded on.

Reviews this month include the dark comedy chaser Dangan Runner, Mob Psycho 100 that shares its author with the popular One-Punch Man, and the complete collection of the retro classic Vampire Princess Miyu. The two game reviews highlighted this month are Nintendo's major tent-pole releases to round off Switch's 2018, the jam-packed fighting game Super Smash Bros.
