As the fifth month of 2019 draws to a close, NEO 188 dons the double cover features once again; the flip side pointing to an in-depth look at the PlayStation 4 game Judgment, and the standard cover highlighting the Hanasaku Iroha anime, and with it the nature of Japanese public bathing culture.  Gracing the pages with are reviews for two of gaming and anime's biggest films of the year; the hard-hitting Dragon Ball Super: Brolyand the inquisitive Detective Pikachu.
Aside from what to expect from Social Scrubbing in Japan, this issue also takes a peek at the infiltration of anime models in the most unexpected of places with Go Figure! Former idol Mahiru Kurumizama highlights the Tapioca drink; a beverage that has gained strong popularity in the Land of the Rising Sun quite quickly. Rounding things off is a return to home base with a sneak peak at the London-based British Museum event, running from May the 23rd of August 26th that showcases a vast array of manga styles and original artwork. From current-day hits like One Piece to retro masterpieces such as Tomorrow's Joe, this event is a must see for enthusiasts.
For the gaming aficionados there is an extended look at Judgment, a game that shares many visual and gameplay similarities to the Yakuza series. Next there is Boxboy + Boxgirl, a Nintendo-published eShop title that marries a simplistic, but endearing, and memorable visual style, with a clever puzzler mechanic. Ending off is a competition to win a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. NEO Issue 188 is available now from all good magazine retailers.
