Picross S8 Announced for Nintendo Switch

By Lilly Kirchner 22.09.2022 1

Some time has passed since the last instalment in the Picross S series by Jupiter. Of course, it is always possible to replay the previous titles, yet there was always the hope of a new game being released soon.

New in Picross S8 on Nintendo Switch is the four-player simultaneous play, meaning a group of eager puzzle fans can now try and solve the most complicated grids together. The much asked for feature of touchscreen support also features in this latest iteration. In other good news, all previous titles will be upgraded to also include four-player simultaneous play and stylus (or finger!) functionality. That means Picross S, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, and even GENESIS & Master System Edition will all benefit from the new gameplay input tweak.

Now is the time! Picross S8 has been announced as releasing on the 29th September, so it is only a few days away. Also, there's more: anyone missing out on any previous Picross S titles will be treated to a sale on the Nintendo eShop starting the same day.

I'm so glad the team's included touch input now. It was something I've been asking them for every time a new code comes through!
