There will be no Golden Sun 3, says series development studio, Camelot, on their Official Website today. According to the explanation, it's not that the company never wants to work on a third installment in the popular portable role-playing game series. Members of the team that created both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Ages (which is due out on April 16th in North America) have moved on to other projects and have no time to create another game. What these titles are remains a mystery, though Camelot will, presumably, be working on the announced Mario Golf and Mario Tennis games for the Nintendo GameCube, along with the Game Boy Advance counterparts.

Namco announced recently that they have established an internal development group called Namco Tales Studio. This new studio will be responsible for the development of all future installments in the Tales of ... series of role-playing games that the company is so popular for. Namco Tales Studios is already at work, too, as Namco will be taking the wraps off of a new game on April 7th. Presumably, the title will be Tales of Symphonia, the 2D RPG for Nintendo's GameCube that was revealed last year. No details have come out about ToP since its unveiling, while almost all of the others have been released.
Regardless of whether it's a new game or one that's been confirmed, we'll have the first updates! Make sure you check back.
