Soul Calibur 2Game Data IGN has taken some brilliant photos that reveal the true extent of Namco's developing body toward Link. He has been revamped, in terms of personility, and it seems that he indeed has been given some intergrated storyline - a quest to seek the evil known as Soul Edge perhaps? The new screens, taken from the Japanese final version of the game, reveal some of the new costumes. It seems that they have used a similar color scheme that was employed in Super Smash Bros, Melee on the GameCube last year, but, where is the slick looking black tunic? Namco have indeed included the deep blue, and reflecting purple tunics, which look stylish, but, at time of writing, it seems that the acclaimed black version has not. Why? It's been unconfirmed, but, nevertheless, it seems that Link does have a part in the extra mode... As current details stand, Link has the option to enter the Weapon Master area where, upon the completion of challenges, you will be able to earn some high calibur weapons. As the screen show, Link can unlock the acclaimed Soul Edge weapon - the living, breathing, sword of ulitmate power - and, if the story holds, he will become corrupted with evil... The specific design for his new weapon does appear corrupted, a variation of the current master sword, and the blade, smothered in blood, could reveal a new aspect to Link that hadn't been previously explored. Partering this, comes his shield - now, very different from ones that appear in the Zelda franchise - covered in rags and rope, stained and very relic, looks interesting. Also shown, is the Fairy sword - something that looks like it's been dipped in a pot of multicolored paint, but, I' am sure it will be a killer. Namco have done a superb thing with Link's current weapon set - but, there are still 7 more to be confirmed out of the 9 extra avalible, and one thing's for sure, I would like to see the sword used when he transformed to fierce diety Link. Take a look at the screens below.Screenshots There are ( 5 ) screenshots below: SourceIGN Gamecube
