SEGA at E3 2003 Sega have unveiled their E3 GameCube and GBA line-up with some significant titles, some of which have some interesting new concepts for older titles, as well as some new additions to their impeccable list of franchises. GameCube titles Sonic Heroes (multiformat)A new platforming game to add to Sonic Team's immense list of games in the franchise, but with a slight twist... Although Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are present, it seems that, from the press release, all three are controlled simultaneously through levels, but, it's not known if you can switch between the three at will or you could have to use all at the same time, in a similar fashion to Sonic 2 for the Megadrive. Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution (Exclusive)Another addition to the Phantasy Star fame, but this time incorporating perhaps a better card based system, and some new gameplay modes and tactics. This version features some card based battle tactics, but, online as well as offline like it's predecessor and the unusual multiplayer modes. Strangely enough though is why Sega has implemented the game for the Gamecube, but it's good to know that the company understand what genres work on which format. Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut (Exclusive)An updated sequel to the highly acclaimed Dreamcast platforming game that actually, with the transition to 3D, retained its more 2 dimentional linear plaforming guise. Read Cubed3 Preview by Liamu99 Worms 3D (Multiformat)Worms returns, yes, a SEGA game - powerful classic gameplay coupled with a massive visual upgrade and some new gameplay modes Worms InformationWorms Screens Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (Exclusive)Yuji Naka and Sonic Team's new GameCube platforming game featuring eggs, yes, eggs - it seems Eggman (Robotknic) has a new friend. They eggs are used to solve puzzles, defeat enemies and give powers to Billy when hatched - hence the name, Billy Hatcher. Gameboy Advance Titles Sonic BattleA new portable Sonic fighting game, that's perhaps a sidestep for the franchise, but, seems to be like a Sonic themed version of the acclaimed Monkey Fight minigame for Super Monkey Ball on the GameCube. Features include: Eight characters to play as, special attacks, customisable rules along with single, multiplayer and training modes to choose from. Sonic Pinball PartyIn a similar note to Mario Party, this is a version including popular Sega franchises - Sonic, Nights, Samba De Amigo and others in a pinball themed pocket party game.SourceGames Asylum
