Of note, Mitchell's PuzzLoop has not made the impact it should have done considering its high scoring review in Famitsu. Polarium launched with the original DS and made the Top 10 and Polarium Advance hit close to the release of the Game Boy micro, also breaking the Top 10. It was expected that as well as Children of Mana doing so well, it would also sell strongly.
Children of Mana's sales are also lower than expected, possibly pulled back by the PSone port of Enix's Valkyrie Profile to the PSP, opening higher than most other PSP games of late.
The question is whether Children of Mana can hold on for a few weeks more, taking advantage of the 11th March release of the Enamel and Ice Blue DS Lites. Spare a thought for Baten Kaitos II on the GameCube, which debuted at No.15 last week with sales of around 15,920 units and is not even in the Top 30 this week!
