DS Media | Metroid Prime Hunters Advertisement

By Jorge Ba-oh 11.03.2006

It's bounty hunter excitement as Samus returns to the DS in one of the most highly anticipated titles this side of 2006. With the release of Hunters (US) in under two weeks, Nintendo are starting a media blitz.

"More Bounty Hunters, more ways to die" is the catchy but blunt slogan used in a snazzy 30 second advert. It's sexy first-person visual and odd space-age graves with Len Wiseman, of Underworld game, directing.

For those who are devoid of streaming capabilities, the advert starts in a slightly bizarre but very creepy space-age grave with a digger unearthing mounds of space-rock. An LCD screen appears with the message, "Bounty Hunter, Status: Killed". Amusingly a body falls from space, landing into the open grave. Following this is the presentation's meat; gorgeous footage from the game followed by a message that would make even the most frigid gamer cave: Nintendo Wi-fi Connection.
