A surprise announcement came earlier with confirmation of a brand spanking new Zelda adventure for the DS.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is Link's latest quest as he treads through dangerous ground once more to save the world. Currently Nintendo haven't disclosed much about the game, but have certainly highlighted the more interesting aspects - the touch screen. It seems players have a much more hands on approach with the Hylian hero for drawing movement seems like a major feature of this exciting title.
Link is rendered in gorgeous cell-shaded 3D style with the same animated expressions and quirky movements from GameCube's Wind Waker. Accompanying him is a fairy, whom we presume is Navi, with the same voice we know you love to hear. "Link..!" she cries... for no apparent reason. Musically, Phantom Hourglass also seems to boast the iconic Dark World theme from the SNES's Link to the Past, a real treat for fans of the series.
Cubed3's worko-holic news team have sorted out a set of fab screen grabs from the title to view. Be sure to also check out the http://www.cubed3.com/news/4798">videos that simply ooze pure Nintendo style.
