    We have no qualms with stating that Shigeru Miyamoto is one of the most important and iconographic members of the video game industry. No other individual can boast such an impressive list of recognisable and popular titles to be under their belt, yet despite this he still remains as humble as ever. He is a pioneer not only of the company he has pledged allegiance to but the entire industry, and he has been consistently for over twenty years, but what is it that makes such a seemingly simple man so influential to such a large number of people? We propose to find out by delving into his illustrious career so far and examine the events that have placed him in the position he is in today.
