With each new title on Nintendo's dual screen wonder, usually comes another leap in presentation and graphics. Tales of the Tempest is the latest addition to the franchise and sure doesn't disappoint.
The game is Namco's first DS Tales installment, featuring a superb system for a portable: from expansive 3D worlds, interactive battles to a cast of ever-snazzy characters.
The lead role is a young boy, Caius, who lives as an adopted child in a village of Alewallah. In a typical plot, the village is attacked by a fiend who goes by the name of "Spot". No, not Spot the dog. The young boy and his father begin to fight the monster, but during the fight his father and childhood pal Rubian escape the village.
Confused, Caicus seeks to find his real parents - hooray.
Generic storyline aside, the title boosts fantastic visuals as you may well have seen in our last media upate. These are put to their paces in a short but very impressive trailer that was released at the beginning of the month.
You certainly be would be an April Fool not to view this.

i think the graphics arent so hot, the cel shading aspect is done very well however i really think that the character models are a bit laughable, and the animation is quite poor for when the characters run. Yet it does actuall look quite fun to play, the gameplay looked identical to TOS and with that combined with some cool DS inovations we could be onto a winner.

No I mean it, I mean it's made by Namco, it's an RPG, it's a Tales game, so that automatically makes it better than any Metroid Prime game. 'cos you can only play through them ONCE
(while still having fun)
Flaming of MPH aside, after playing ToP, I know that Namco's RPG genius wasn't just an accident with ToS, which remians to be possibly my favourtie RPG of all time, I really can't wait to get a new Tales game, I also hope it's related to the other Tales games (ToP & ToS) even if just a little bit, as those ToS related bits in ToP really made me happy, so it would be great to find out more about the world, hopefully the storyline won't be too similar though, I mean ToP & ToS ARE similar, but in a subtle way, with the exploding of the cities & the dying of the peoples & the *ng-hay!* Glavin!!!
Well, ToP was ALMOST CLOSE to ToS, so go & buy it NOW... NOW... NOW... MIW..!!

This looks promising; I'll stick around Namco for more media on this to see if I'll buy. Definitely looks promising.
