Revolution Media | High Resolution Promotional Images

By Barry Lewis 13.04.2006 39

Thanks to German site gamefront.de we have the latest promotional images of the elusive "Revmote". Included in the images appears to be the very latest design of the new and unique controller, sporting a more WaveBird-like plastic shell and a more refined "pointer" cover.

These images are very similar to the shots used for Game Informers leaked Revolution title Red Steel, in their forthcoming Magazine, but it is unclear if these images will be used by other developers or publications

Wow, they're actually pushing the 'look like a twonk while playing Revolution' aspect of the controller.

Love it. Smilie

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

I think they're from Ubisoft, apparently these were posted on Flikr earlier.

Looking pretty damn sweet, but incredibly tiny !

They're from Game Informer.

Hey one guy is using a katana and Gun pfft what a noob.

The black port on the top look smaller and the big block of plastic seems to be missing from the Nun chuk connection to the rev.

Right so it's gray, the IR window is smaller, and there are big screw holes in it. There's also a bit of selotape on the lead.Smilie

Smilie @ Grumbler

And I originally reported that they were from GI/Ubi Soft, but upon inspection neither shots from the leak had the two people in the images I posted - though there is a few Katana / Red Steel poses.

My thoughts, Nintendo Paris did the promo shots and had a few Ubi developers pose for their magazine captures?

I reckon this is the crude dev-kit version that IGN described a while back, it even has the ethernet connection.Smilie

Yep, you can even see the power cord in this shot.

There's alot of speculation on forums and whatnot, on what the black wire coming from the Revo controller, up this mans arm is, apparantly its to measure the rate of heartbeat, for use in games, could this be the last secret? Smilie

No, this is the dev kit version of the controller, it doesn't have a battery. That's the power cable. It's going into his sleeve to be discreet as it isn't needed for the shoot.

I'm sure they're from Game Informer, but they could be from Ubisoft or Nintendo France I suppose.

Heartrate - interesting...the game could change according to how you're feeling. I'm with Grumbler in that it's the power cord, though. Another thought is that it could be a thing you put around your wrist to stop you dropping/throwing the revmote if you're a bit too vigorous.

The ethernet cable's enough to convince me, although a wrist strap wouldn't be a bad thing.

What forum is it Monkey? I'm in the mood for n00b ownage.Smilie

Like, duh!

The models are obviously robot creatures from Mars. The superior Revolution graphix111 is producing these human-like people and the wires are like there to power them up

[/end lies]

I swear to god, Nintendo actually make sure some strange little thing like that black cable (as innocent as it is) appears in such shots / images - just to get the elite / bloggers foaming at the mouth.

Looks to me like the wire will annoy me alot, yanking and hitting a taut cord.
