DS News | More FFIII NES / DS comparisons

By Barry Lewis 18.04.2006 8

Quick News: We have another collection of comparative shots between the old NES version, and new Nintendo DS port, of Final Fantasy III. Graphically the game is receiving a thorough overhaul and if the original gameplay is left intact or even improved, this is looking to be a must have RPG to fill the current void. Unrecognisable. If the rumoured WFC stuff is true then this could bury the PSp in Japan.

Unrecognisable? Then there's something seriously wrong with your eyes... It looks a WHOLE lot better, but unrecognisable? No. I'm definitely buying this, no matter what!

Looks good. Anyone got any better pics? Or just bigger so they are easier to see?

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

I think Hazuki meant as in you couldn't have recognised that this was a remake because it looks so different.

Yup, perfect.

I'm so looking forward to how they'll deal with the music. FF3j has some of my fav music from FF series. Like Town theme... used to make me cry.

They'll probably make it more MIDI wave table style sample and hopefully some nice rearrangements without changing themes.

Direct feed FF3 pics! It looks amazingly good, for the DS.

Yeah, been looking at those...nearly fell off my chair! I'll try and sort them out, but Gpara is S-L-O-W at the moment Smilie
